Dr. Seuss Celebrated @ your library

Children attending Preschool Storytime (3-5 years) heard Dr. Seuss stories and had the opportunity to create their own striped hat.  After dancing and singing, children enjoyed delicious cupcakes and colored famous Dr. Seuss characters.

It was all about the letter D for Family Storytime.

We honored Dr. Seuss with a birthday party. Children played games such as Pass the Hat and Pin the Green Eggs on the Plate. Game winners received prizes.

Children drew the Cat in the Hat and posted it on the Dr. Seuss Birthday poster in our children's area.

The book, Oh say can you say di-no-saur? (with the Cat in the Hat), inspired a fossil hunt in the children's area. Parents hid
twenty-four dinosaur fossils among the shelves and the children managed to find them all!

Children received a cupcake when they checked out a book at our circulation desk and demonstrated their storytime attendance stamp.
