We had the pleasure of being visited by the The Anime Appreciation Society of El Paso @ UTEP. Stephanie Mendez gave us an informative presentation on Japanese Pop Culture.Afterwards, teens had the opportunity to win some manga items, such as puzzles and artwork, during a Japanese culture challenge.
Along with Stephanie, Michael Galindo and Pablo Tovar Jr. taught teens to create a crane and flower with beautiful origami paper.
Also, we got some important tips on how to begin drawing manga characters. Practice, practice and more practice were stressed during the drawing session. Most importantly, utilize the library for reference material to begin your manga drawing.
